Regarding Jen Campbell entering the District two race for San Diego City Council

Fellow San Diego residents,

Make no mistake, Jen Campbell is a nice lady who is running for San Diego City Council. Every citizen has a right to run for public office. I understand all of that except the circumstances surrounding her entry in this contest are questionable.

Entering at the eleventh hour and supported by a who's who of the local LGBT community with a famous cousin named David Axelrod as a wind to her back, her ascension to prominence with an alleged overnight war chest nearing $50,000 gives me pause as I entered the race over one year earlier.

I understand this is politics but in my opinion local LGBT activists will not abate until they control all nine seats on our City Council. Has anyone heard of reverse discrimination? Have we as a City lost our mind with identity politics? Is seventy to eighty percent of District two comprised of Gays and Lesbians? That is the percentage of supporters from the local LGBT community on her web page.

Maybe I'm just an old dumb Pollack but it doesn't pass the smell test as in something stinks in Denmark. So Mr. Axelrod being President Obama's chief strategist and Madame Campbell's cousin will blow into town and supposedly clear the deck. I have news for this elite. Bring em on, shock and awe, mission accomplished!! The great Axelrod will first have to fight a Pollack with little resources. Good luck!
